The
mission of ‘a course in Prayer’ is to cultivate the
practice of prayer in realizing personal, social and spiritual Greatness.
This
is a not-profit project to expand this universal technology in realizing
our full potential and put into action the prayer principles that
the great souls use/ have used, for blessed results.
This
project is not affiliated with any religious institution, doctrine
or charity. This is an interdependent initiative, between the
author and the online participants - with maintenance and advertising
costs being supported by the generosity of our readers, who wish
to see this project continue to bless the lives of others.
Through
direct and personal experience, ‘a course in Prayer’
seeks to increase the understanding and effectiveness of The Greatest
Habit. By direct application and experimentation, it seeks to make
clear that prayer is not a form of 'idle amusement' as
Mahatma Gandhi put it, 'but a most potent tool for action'
.
This
project seeks to help the practitioner to make the leap
from good, to Great - from ‘relative’,
to Absolute Prayer:
| |
|
| Irrational:
Prayer as superstitious incantations for bringing ‘good
luck’ and protecting against ‘bad luck’. |
Rational:
Prayer as a reasonable and sensible solution that holistically
resolves the complex dilemmas of life |
| Denominational:
Prayer that is dependent on other people’s interpretations,
systems of beliefs, rituals and traditions |
Universal:
Prayer that is independent of the good opinion of other people,
but meaningfully and personally connects with Our Creator |
| Conditional:
Prayer that is used only when a problem arises and as a ‘last
ditch attempt’ when all else fails |
Unconditional:
Prayer as a proactive orientation that connects with
our Universal Source to meet any and all needs and aspirations |
